 Undying Cheats

 

You can use the following cheats in one of two ways:

1 Press TAB, enter the cheat and press return.

2 Bind them to keys in your user.ini file.

A

AddAll - Adds all weapons and spells. Spells are only level one.

Aerial - Although there is no gravity you will still bump into things and cannot go through walls.

AmpAttSpell -
Boost current spell one level. Deampattspell is it's compliment.

Amphibious -
Extends period you can live underwater.
Extends period you can live underwater.

AssAll - Spawns a donkey.

Astral -
Noclip mode, type in Walk to disable.

 

B

 

BecomeLight # - Player casts light. #=1 for on, #=0 for off.

Behindview # -
Switches from first person to third person. #=1 for on, #=0 for off. Use with pipes, modFOV, and OnRelease to get a quick look around.

Bring [name] [#] -
Gives you spells and items. # is the quantity you want. When typing in the console you can only summon one item at a time, but if you make multiple bring statements on one line separated by pipes (|) in your user.ini you can bring as many items as you want with the press of one key. But why would you do that? An army of rats might be cool. "A plague upon your house! I summon ten thousand rats to my aid!"

Go ahead and summon items that are in the code, but didn't make the final cut for the game:

·         ShalasVortex

·         IncantationOfSilence

·         Lantern

·         Powderofsiren

·         WizardEye

·         Translocationscroll

You may also want to try bringing other things and people. Ambrose, chunkymaid, ambroseaxe, and many others can be summoned with bring. Here's a page full of bring items.

 

C

 

CastFire - Casts fire on the creature your crosshair is on.

CastGlow -
Casts a glow effect on the creature your crosshair is trained over.

ClearWeather -
Clears the weather.

 

clive - Supposedly some super godmode, but nothing happens if you type this in. But if you have your debug info up and use EH you will see the statement "Clive mode ON".

 

D

 

DeAmpAttSpell - De-amplify your spell by one amplitude.

DebugHUD -
Toggles debug info in the hud. This and DebugMsg are both useful for debugging and cheating.

DebugMsg -
Turns on debug messaging.

Destroyjoint - 
Destroys joints, duh!

Detachjoint - 
Check this out. Watch the bodyparts fly!

 

E

 

Eh - This is your basic Clive (GOD) mode. Oh yeah! Can't touch this.

EnemyCrosshair -
This is a toggle for the crosshair. Either the crosshair can be sensitive and change colors when pointed at an  enemy or it is insensitive and stays the same color no matter where it's pointed.

 

F

 

FireMe - Pretend Patrick is Michael Jackson and catch him on fire! Amaze your friends! Do it again and again! 

Fly -
Toggles flight.

Flight -
Toggles flight.

Forcehide # -
Makes object or character # invisible (but doesn't destroy it), unhide # returns visibility. 

 

G


Gibhim -
Turn that pawn into a cloud of blood! Excellent party trick! Don't even try this on bosses, you should know better.

giveme # $ -
You want a weapon or spell? You got it! The $ You want a weapon or spell? You got it! The $ is the amplitude for spells (default being 1). Look at all of the objects you can give yourself.


gniydnu -
It is written that this code will bring you a hidden level in the UK version of Undying. Not having the UK version I cannot confirm or deny this statement.

 

H

 

Hide [class name] - Hides actors of a certain class or subclass under the supplied class. Actors that are not hidden by default will not be hidden by this; use forceHide command.

 

I

 

Infinitemana [0 or 1] - Toggles mana use on or off. It's like mana never existed! You just use all the spells you want and don't worry about a thing.

Invisible 1 -
Invisible 1 makes you invisible and 0 (zero) makes you visible again. 

 

J

 

Jab - Create an impulse on the pawn you are looking at. This is one component of the effect we use for impacts of bullets, pellets, spears, etc on creatures.

 

M

 

MagicSounds - Toggle weapon and spell sounds. Was used when we had a silence spell earlier in development.

Makewet -
(disabled by default)

ModFOV # -
Modifies your fov by this amount, useful to bind modFov 30 and modFov -30 to your mouse wheel up and down to do quick zoom in and out with the mouse wheel. The fov is clamped at your default playing fov (110 by default).

Mshat # - Shatters your mind with intensity # (from 1 to 5).

Nodetect -

Open [mapname] - Opens maps.

 

OnRelease - You can't really use this when pressing TAB and entering cheats. You use this in your user.ini file. It executes when a button is released. A good example of how to use OnRelease is:

LShift=Astral|OnRelease Walk

I use OnRelease to take snapshots of the scythe and other weapons and spells as I'm using them. If you decide to do the same, make sure you keep your regular fire buttons as well and don't abuse the action snap-shot... or else you'll find your system folder with thousands of bloody pictures! Here's how I take the action photos:

J=fire|onrelease shot

Used with modFOV and a pipe it can make a nice zoom effect as well.

 

P

PDP - Tests player damage physics. The screen throw like when you get hit by a howler.

Pie -
Sets your mana to your mana capacity. 

 

Pipes - Although you cannot use pipes (|) when you press tab and enter the codes, you can use pipes to bind more than one command to one key in the user.ini file. An example of how it would be used is:

Z=infinitemana 1 | Set aeons.patrick health 999 | Woo

 

 

R

 

raindance - Starts rain (clearweather cancels).

renderweapon -
Removes weapons from screen (useful when making screenshots for wallpapers).

 

S


satan - If this is supposed to do something special I haven't figured out what it is yet.

set # ? $ - A multipurpose command for changing parameters. # - the character, ? and $ - the parameter and its value (see showpawnnames). This command can be used in so many different ways that I won't even try to write them all here. Toy around with it while you have debug information and with 'showactornames' and 'showpawnnames' and you will find you can set the variables for not just Patrick, but for just about anything. You can set health, mana, mesh (try SET AMBROSEAXE MESH SCYTH_M), drawscale ( And who doesn't want a bigger weapon?), etc. I've experimented with setting AI states with no success.  

set patrick health # - Sets your health to # (from 0 to 999, norm is 100). 

set patrick mana # - Sets Patrick's mana to # (from 0 to 999).

setgroundspeed # - Sets your speed on ground to # (from 0 to 999, norm is ~ 400).

setjumpz # - Sets your jump height to # (from 0 to 999, norm is ~ 300).

showactornames - Shows the name of the object and its state (waiting, dying, etc.)


ShowArrow -
Shows an arrow in the world where you are aiming and is oriented in the direction of the surface normal in the world or the collision with a creature. This command toggles on and off.

showall - Shows all objects (useful when searching secret for levels)

showfps - Toggles FPS display.

showpawnnames - Shows detailed information of the character your crosshair is over.

showstealth - Displays your visibility, produced noise, etc.

ShowTex - When DebugHud is on, this will show information about the texture you are looking at and all of it’s properties.

slomo # - Sets game speed to # (# = 1 - 5, norm is 1, negative numbers slow things down).

snowdance - Starts snow (clearweather cancels).

 

Snuffall - Snuffs everything. Don't use this or snuffpawns.

snuffpawns - Deletes all pawns.

start # - Starts a new game from map #. From all your arsenal you'll have only the Stone, the pistol and Scrye. Please note that the map sometimes loads incorrectly, especially if you reload it several times during one game session.

TestBlood [#] -
Tests the screen blood splatter you supply the # of hitpoints damage taken.

Timedemo 1 - Activate timedemo (0=Off)

ToggleHide [class name] - Toggles the hidden flag on classes.

 

U

UnHide [class name] - Unhides actors of a certain class or subclass under the supplied class.

Use --- UseHealth, useWizardEye, useAmplifier, useLantern, usePowderOfSiren - Use gives you direct access functions to use one of these (or even custom items) from your inventory.

 

W


Walk -
Turn 'Astral' or noclip mode off.

WeaponSounds - Toggle weapon and spell sounds was used when we had a silence spell earlier in development.

Woo - All ammo

WoundPawn - Creates a persistent wound on the pawn you have your crosshair trained on .
